More options.
A personal decision.

RespAir Sleep works with multiple appliance designs and manufacturers. Your evaluation guides the recommendation, with attention to how an appliance fits your teeth, supports your jaw, and works in your daily routine.

Dr. DeSaix considers your diagnosis and sleep study, dental health and restorations, jaw movement, available space, material sensitivities, and ability to insert, remove, and care for the device. Your preferences and insurance requirements are part of that conversation.

You do not need to choose a model before your visit. We explain the suitable options and help you understand the tradeoffs.

Clinical fit.
Coverage considered.

Medicare and commercial insurance plans can have different requirements for oral appliances. For Original Medicare, the E0486 device criteria include a qualifying fixed mechanical hinge, along with other design, coding, and documentation requirements.

A visible hinge alone does not establish coverage, and hinged designs are not limited to Medicare patients. The exact model and your individual eligibility matter. Our team checks the applicable requirements alongside Dr. DeSaix’s clinical recommendation and explains the expected costs before treatment.

The appliance is
part of the care.

Fitting, adjustments, and follow-up help us evaluate comfort and your response to treatment. We coordinate with your medical or sleep team, including follow-up sleep testing when appropriate, to assess effectiveness.

Tell us about jaw discomfort, tooth soreness, or changes in your bite. An appliance should be adjusted under your care team’s guidance; a particular brand does not guarantee a particular result.
